Hidden Device is now Room Check, with a new design and a new way to check a room: room by room, with a report at the end. Your subscription carries over. Update the App from the App Store to get the new version.
What is free and what is Premium?
Each tool can be used once for free. Room Check Premium is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited use of all tools, unlimited room checks and PDF reports.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings in the App and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone and cancel Room Check Premium at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Why does the App ask for permissions?
Camera and flashlight are used to look for lens reflections and to take photos of findings. Local network is used to list devices on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. Bluetooth is used to list nearby Bluetooth devices and estimate their distance. Photo library access is used only if you choose to attach an existing photo. You can change these permissions at any time in Settings.
The Wi-Fi devices list is empty
Make sure your iPhone is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to check, not only to mobile data. Then check that local network access is allowed for Room Check in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. The App only sees the network you are connected to.
How do I get better results with the Lens finder?
Turn the room lights off and close the curtains. Hold the iPhone at eye level, about 1 metre from the object, and move slowly. A real lens stays marked when you step to the side; a reflection from a screw or glass usually disappears. Check any marked spot with your own eyes before you conclude anything.
Can Room Check guarantee that a room is safe?
No. Room Check is a helper, not a guarantee. Cameras on another network, recording to a memory card, switched off or covered may not show up, and some results may be false positives. If you find a device, don't touch it: document it and contact the host, the platform or local authorities.
How do I delete my data?
Room checks, photos, findings and reports are stored only on your iPhone. Delete a check in the App, or delete the App to remove everything. To ask for deletion of purchase records, email us at the address above. More in the Privacy Policy.
